Coaching Approach
I work exclusively in one-on-one coaching sessions with individual clients. On occasion, I will work with a group or team on a particularly intriguing leadership challenge.
Through listening, I build trust.
Through asking challenging questions, I walk with you on a journey of self-discovery.
Through understanding your unique opportunities for growth, I help you become the leader you were born to be.
I believe that Leadership transformation is achieved through trust, transparency, and accountability.
When you work with Highway 9 to examine your strengths, face your weaknesses, and define your journey, you begin to connect your purpose to the needs of your organization.
Why undergo this sometimes uncomfortable process?
Because the people that you lead depend on you to always work for better.
My hope is to offer a mix of challenge and support, with a unique approach for every coaching engagement.
I will be transparent and candid as we find the Coaching style that is most effective for us as a team. You will always feel heard and respected, while politeness should never get in the way of real communication.
Most importantly, I will help you develop an awareness of how personal life is directly connected to leadership effectiveness, and how misalignment in one area of life can lead to deficiencies in the other.

Your agenda
It is up to you to determine what you want to work on in our coaching engagement, and you’ll decide what issues we address over the course of our work together and in every coaching session. I can help you track topics over time and prioritize topics in a given conversation, and I may highlight an issue if I sense that it's being overlooked, but the agenda is ultimately your responsibility.
Availability
Coaching sessions are generally 60-75 minutes in duration.
Cadence and scheduling
I meet with each client at the cadence that's right for them, typically 2-3 meetings per month, I require a six months commitment, with option to extend.
Engagement length
My coaching engagements are open-ended, and the duration is determined by the client. The average engagement length in my practice is currently six months, 2-3 one-hour sessions per month. In addition, I make myself available to you as needed.
I practice what I preach–I am being coached (as a coach).
